MY LITTLE MONTESSORI HOUSE

A beatiful floor puzzle that encourages independence, self-confidence, and self-esteem. It is inspired by Montessori theories according to which a game must be pleasant, constructive and spontaneous, for the purpose of developing a good number of abilities and capacities, such as personal identity, creativity, intuition, ingenuity, attention, logical thought, language and social relations.

The game is intended for children aged from 2 to 5 years. In this phase of growth, it is important to develop an interest and curiosity in the world that surrounds them to develop their potential.

Illustrated cards with the rooms of the house: kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, terrace, attic.

30 shaped inset puzzle pieces relative to the rooms in question (5 for each room).

Build the house

Children will enjoy completing the 6 environment-cards with the equivalent 30 shaped objects, and then moving

them, thus building a large house. To do this, they can play freely, or else carry out the first classifications,

dividing the objects up in accordance with the micro-environment to which they belong.

Bingo of the rooms

This game is played by a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 players.  Each child chooses an environment-card and places it in front of him- or herself. The 30 shaped objects are mixed up and placed, covered, in the centre of the game board. In turn the children uncover a shaped object. If it is present in their environment-card, they

win it, and put it in the space provided; otherwise, they reposition it, covered, on the game board.  The winner is the child who first completes his/her environment card with the 5 shaped objects.

Find the intruder

This game is played by a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 players.  Each child chooses an environment-card and places it in front of him- or herself. The 30 shaped objects are mixed up and placed, covered, in the centre of the game board. In turn the children uncover a shaped object. If it is present in their environment-card, they

win it, and put it in the space provided; otherwise, they reposition it, covered, on the game board.  The winner is the child who first completes his/her environment card with the 5 shaped objects.  This game is played with two couples of children.  Put 4 objects of one environment and 1 intruder into the box. One player of the couple must run towards the box, look for the intruder and then run back to give it to his or her companion, who must say out loud the intruder’s name. The pair of winners are the ones who succeed in doing this first
